In 2014, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity was one of three affiliates nationwide selected to build a house in honor of Pope Francis. Inspired by the Pope’s commitment to social justice and his belief in the idea that “Work confers dignity”, Milwaukee Habitat began construction on this second house on N. 41st Street.
Framing of The Pope House has been completed and volunteers will be needed to continue work on the house. Building skills and experience, while helpful, are not required.
If you are interested in volunteering or spearheading a group from St. Robert and Holy Family Parishes, please contact Julia Killian, firstname.lastname@example.org or 414-218-8842
