The 2015-2016 Bobcat basketball season officially came to an end Sunday after the 8th grade girls A team lost a hard fought battle to St. Agnes/St. Anthony. Much like the 8th grade boys a week earlier, the girls found themselves in a double-digit hole in the first quarter:13-0. The girls battled back in the second half and whittled the Deacon lead down to 4 points in the 4th quarter. St. Agnes/St. Anthony held off the Lady-Bobcat ferocious comeback, in effect, validating their top-seed status.
Congratulations to our 8th grade boys basketball team who capped off a run to the Padre Serra Tournament with a spirited performance against St. Leonard (Muskego). After a sloppy start and double digit deficit, the Bobcats battled back to nearly force overtime last Thursday night. The boys were humble in a heart-breaking defeat of 31-29.
We congratulate all our basketball athletes and coaches on another successful season. We wish all our 8th grade athletes the best as they move on to new challenges and new rewarding opportunities. They have truly made our school, parish, and community proud and we look forward to their future accomplishments.
The St. Robert Athletic Association offers programs for all students enrolled in our school or members of our parish. Competitive athletics are offered for students in grades 5-8.
